One in Six People in EU Are Smokers, Bulgaria and Sweden Lead
Data shows that one in six people in the European Union are smokers, with the majority (77.5%) not using such products or having quit at least a year prior. Among EU member states, Bulgaria has the highest share of smokers at 26.3%, followed by Sweden at 23.9%.
