Wakayama Revises Nankai Trough Tsunami Forecast, Shortest Arrival in 1 Minute
Wakayama Prefecture in Japan has revised its tsunami inundation forecast for a potential Nankai Trough mega-earthquake after more than ten years. Based on the latest scientific knowledge, some areas, like Kushimoto Town, could see tsunami arrival in as little as one minute, two minutes faster than previous estimates.
