Colombia Launches Plan to Eradicate Invasive Hippopotamus Population
Colombia's Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development has initiated a plan to eradicate the country's invasive hippopotamus population, the first such effort in 40 years. The government has allocated approximately 7.2 billion Colombian pesos (about $2 million USD) for the initiative.
