Shizuoka Landslide Traps Hikers, Evacuation Route Opened

A landslide in a mountainous area of Shizuoka City, Japan, blocked a prefectural road, trapping at least 79 hikers and workers. An alternative walking route has since been secured, and those wishing to descend began doing so on the morning of the 22nd.
