Lleida City Council Proposes Burqa Ban in Public Spaces
The Lleida City Council, governed by the Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSC), is proposing an ordinance to ban the burqa in public spaces and municipal buildings. Socialist Mayor Fèlix Larrosa advanced the proposal, which includes fines ranging from 300 to 700 euros.
