This Day in History: US Army Intervenes in Mexico to Capture Pancho Villa in 1916
On March 15, 1916, the United States Army intervened in neighboring Mexico to capture Francisco 'Pancho' Villa, one of the leaders of the Mexican Civil War. The operation was ultimately unsuccessful in its primary goal.
