Plzeň Becomes Second Czech City to Financially Support Green Roofs

Residents in Plzeň, Czech Republic, can now receive financial support for building green roofs, making it the second city in the country after Brno to offer such a program. The initiative is supported by the Green Treasure Foundation in cooperation with the city.

Lidé v Plzni mohou nově získat peníze na stavbu zelených střech. Plzeň je tak po Brně teprve druhým městem v Česku, kde finančně podpoří střešní zeleň. Podle Terezy Pelclové z nadačního fondu Zelený poklad, který grant ve spolupráci s městem Plzeň spravuje, mohou být žadatelé soukromé osoby, bytová družstva nebo třeba společenství vlastníků.
