Portuguese Speed Radars Detect Millions of Speeding Offenses, Fines Hit Record in 2023
Speed radars in Portugal detected millions of speeding offenses, with fines reaching a record 671,709 in 2023. However, detections have decreased to 163,951 by July, and ANSR reports a reduction in accidents in areas with radars installed since 2016.
