'Won’t quit, Ayodhya Ram temple donation theft due to SBI laxity': Trust treasurer

Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj stated he will not resign as treasurer of the trust. He believes bank officials should have flagged the alleged donation embezzlement. The trust's general secretary Champat Rai recently resigned following the case. Giri Maharaj acknowledged security lapses and promised system strengthening measures. He estimated the embezzlement amount to be around Rs3 crore.
