EU Funds €2.5 Billion for Ukraine to Purchase Gripen Jets

The European Union has allocated €2.5 billion of a €3.47 billion loan to Ukraine for the purchase of 16 Swedish-made Gripen E fighter jets. This funding is part of the EU's defense disbursements to Ukraine.

European Pravda has reported that €2.5 billion of the €3.47 billion transferred to Ukraine by the EU on 30 July as part of "defence disbursements" under a €90 billion loan will be allocated to purchasing 16 Swedish-made Gripen E fighter jets for Ukraine's armed forces.
