Sperm Whales Observed Assisting Newborn to Surface in Caribbean
Scientists observed a unique event in July 2023 in the Caribbean where a birthing sperm whale was aided by ten other female whales in its group, marking the first time such cooperative behavior has been seen in non-primate mammals.
