Mother and Lifeguards Charged After Five-Year-Old Drowns at Beach

A five-year-old boy who could not swim drowned at a beach after jumping into a pool with an inflatable ball that slipped from under him. His mother and two lifeguards have been charged after a bather noticed the child and alerted a lifeguard, who then began resuscitation.
