Tennis: Darderi wins in Santiago after Cobolli's Acapulco triumph
(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 2 - Italy's Luciano Darderi beat German Yannick Hanfmann 7-6 (6) 7-5 on Sunday to win the ATP 250 tournament in Santiago, Chile, on the same weekend that his compatriot Flavio Cobolli triumphed at the Acapulco ATP 500 with a victory over American Frances Tiafoe. Darderi's triumph means he is the player to have the most tour-level clay titles since the start of the 2024 season - five, one more than world number one Carlos Alcaraz.
