Turkey Declares New Marine Parks Near Greek Islands, Sparking Controversy
Turkey has announced the establishment of two new 'national marine parks' in the Aegean Sea, with presidential decrees signed by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Greece views this as a provocation, as the designated areas are located between Fethiye and Kaş, effectively encircling the Greek islands of Kastellorizo and Lemnos.
