UP Government Hikes Wages After Noida-Ghaziabad Worker Protests
Following massive protests by workers in Noida and Ghaziabad demanding higher pay, the Uttar Pradesh government has hiked wage rates and formed a committee to resolve the dispute. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath suggested a "conspiracy to create industrial unrest" was behind the protests.
