Qatar Airways denied boarding to infant despite issuing pass; court awards Rs 10 lakh

A Kerala consumer commission ordered Qatar Airways to pay ten lakh rupees compensation. The airline denied boarding to two children, including an infant, despite issuing boarding passes. This action was deemed a deficiency in service and unfair trade practice by the commission. The family suffered significant mental agony and hardship due to the airline's arbitrary decision. Qatar Airways must comply with the order within forty-five days.
