Imposter Scams Lead FTC Fraud Reports for Fifth Consecutive Year

Imposter scams were the most reported type of fraud to the FTC for the fifth year in a row in 2025, resulting in $3.5 billion in losses out of a total of $15.9 billion in reported fraud.
