Setúbal Mayor Suspends Mandate Due to Health Reasons

Maria das Dores Meira, the mayor of Setúbal, has suspended her mandate due to health reasons and will be replaced by the municipality's vice-mayor, Maria do Carmo Tiago. Meira was elected to the Setúbal City Council in 2025, following 15 years as a CDU mayor.
