Lombok-Bali Crossing Set to Close During Nyepi Day
The Lombok-Bali crossing is scheduled to close during Nyepi Day, the Day of Silence. The closure is a customary practice to observe the sacred holiday, which involves a period of silence, fasting, and meditation across Bali. During this time, all public activities, including transportation and travel, are halted. The ferry service between Lombok and Bali will therefore cease operations for the duration of Nyepi to ensure the sanctity of the observance.
