Roma Union of Serbia Demands Accountability After Body Found in Lake

The Union of Roma of Serbia has stated that the death of A.M., whose body was found in a lake near Zrenjanin, is a consequence of long-standing institutional insensitivity towards the safety of the Roma community, demanding individual and command responsibility.

Unija Roma Srbije saopštila je danas da slučaj smrti A.M, čije je telo izvučeno iz jezera kod Zrenjanina, nije samo tragičan događaj, već "posledica dugogodišnje institucionalne neosetljivosti prema bezbednosti romske zajednice" i zatražila hitno objavljivanje hronologije rada policije i nezavisnu i transparentnu kontrolu rada nadležnih organa.
