Former Bengal deputy speaker Asish Banerjee found hanging at TMC office
Ashis Banerjee, former deputy speaker of West Bengal assembly, was found dead. His body was discovered hanging at a Trinamool Congress office in Birbhum. Police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause. Banerjee had served as deputy speaker while Mamata Banerjee was chief minister. He was a five-time MLA from Rampurhat constituency.
