Latvian Municipalities Face Budget Challenges in First Half of Year
Latvian municipalities, including Valka and Rēzekne, are reporting budget difficulties despite increased income tax revenues and rising wages. Local councils claim they will only know the full extent of budget surpluses at year-end, due to agreements with the government.
