Ghana AG's Office Clarifies OSP Prosecution Authority, Denies Sabotage

Ghana's Attorney General's office affirmed its readiness to grant prosecution authorization to the Office of the Special Prosecutor upon request. The Deputy AG also pushed back against narratives suggesting the department sabotaged an OSP court case.

Deputy Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr Justice Srem Sai, has indicated that the Attorney-General’s Department is willing to grant the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) the necessary authorisation to prosecute cases, if such a request is formally made.
