Nurse's incorrect medication leads to death of patient in their 90s in Hokkaido, Chitose
This month, a male patient in his 90s who was hospitalized at a municipal hospital in Chitose City, Hokkaido, was administered the wrong medication by a nurse, and the patient subsequently died. The hospital apologized to the bereaved family, stating that it is highly likely that the incorrect medication led to the death, and will establish a committee including third parties to prevent recurrence.
