Government-Suppressed Price Increases Expected as Voluntary Price Freezes Expire in Hungary

Price increases, previously suppressed by the government, are anticipated in Hungary as voluntary price freezes are set to expire at the end of June. Service providers had agreed last spring to postpone inflationary fee hikes, with some examples of eight percent increases now emerging.
