Ethiopian Welteji banned until mid 2027 for failing to provide sample

Ethiopian middle-distance runner Diribe Welteji has been banned until the middle of next year for an anti-doping rules violation, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said on Thursday. CAS partially upheld an appeal by World Athletics against Ethiopia’s anti-doping agency and the 2023 world 1,500 metres silver medallist.
