Japan's Cabinet to Approve Criminal Procedure Law Amendment on Retrial System
Japan's Liberal Democratic Party has approved an amendment to the Code of Criminal Procedure, which includes a principle prohibiting prosecutors from appealing retrial decisions. The government plans to approve the bill in a cabinet meeting tomorrow and submit it to the Diet.
