Smartphone Prices Expected to Rise Due to Increased Chip Costs

Following recent sharp increases in memory chip prices, major chipmaker Qualcomm is also reportedly planning to significantly raise prices for its System-on-a-Chip (SoC) components, which is expected to drive up smartphone costs.
