Japanese Lawyer Arrested for Illegally Unfreezing Scam Accounts
A 47-year-old lawyer and another individual in Yokohama have been arrested for allegedly making false statements to financial institutions to unfreeze accounts containing money from special fraud scams and then illegally transferring the funds to the lawyer's account. Police are investigating if the lawyer received monthly payments from the fraud group.
