Germany needs new state sport minister as Schenderlein moves on

Christiane Schenderlein will leave as German State Minister for Sport after just 14 months in the job, amid a wide-ranging reform of elite sport and an upcoming Olympic bid decision in the country. The government of Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Schenderlein is moving on into the health ministry.
