Meghalaya High Court Panel Demands Action Plan Against Illegal Coal Mining

A committee appointed by the Meghalaya High Court, led by Justice BP Katakey, has urged the state to promptly notify an action plan to curb illegal coal mining. The panel also called for fencing abandoned rat-hole pits to prevent further illicit activities.
