
Dominik Krause Becomes Munich's First Green Mayor, Ends SPD Dominance
Munich, the capital of Bavaria, has elected 35-year-old Dominik Krause as its first Green mayor, ending 72 years of SPD dominance. Krause, who defeated long-serving Social Democratic mayor Dieter Reiter with 56% of the votes, plans to forgo the traditional BMW service car.
