Over 95% of patients cured of HCV, but many in Poland remain undiagnosed

Hepatitis C (HCV) can now be cured within 8 to 12 weeks, even for patients with severe conditions, but many infected individuals in Poland do not receive treatment because they are unaware of their diagnosis for years.

Ponad 95 procent chorych pozbywa się HCV. Ale wielu wciąż nie zna diagnozy

WZW C można dziś wyleczyć w ciągu 8 lub 12 tygodni. Terapia jest skuteczna także u osób z marskością wątroby, nowotworem, HIV czy po przeszczepie. Jednak wielu zakażonych nie korzysta z leczenia, bo przez lata nie wie o chorobie. Najczęściej mają 30-50 lat.
