Vinitaly 2026 in Verona promoted at the Italian Embassy in Warsaw
(ANSA) - VARSAVIA, 18 FEB - On February 17, the Italian Embassy in Warsaw successfully hosted "Vinitaly Preview 2026," the official promotion of the wine fair organized for next April at Veronafiere. The evening, organized in collaboration with ICE, featured speeches by Marco Battocchia, Head of Incoming Management at Veronafiere, and Antonella Cuniglio, representing the Fondazione Arena di Verona. The artistic entertainment was provided by soprano Marta Torbidoni and tenor Paolo Lardizzone, accompanied on piano by Frederico Brunello. In his speech, Ambassador Luca Franchetti Pardo highlighted Poland's growing importance as a strategic partner, noting that Italy remains the leading supplier of still and sparkling wines to Poland, in a context of increasing demand for appellations of origin and premium segments. "It is on quality, trust, and long-term partnerships that we intend to build the future of cooperation in the sector," concluded Franchetti Pardo. The director of the ICE in Warsaw, Roberto Cafiero, recalled that in 2024 Italy exported around 37 million liters, equal to a quarter of Polish wine imports, with growth of over 30% in the last five years. The event brought together numerous buyers, importers, and industry operators.
