Over 700 Innu Members Sue Ottawa After Being Stripped of Status

More than 700 members of the Innu community in Quebec, descendants of Christine Kichera and Adelaïde Matshiragan, are taking the Canadian government to court after being removed from the Indian Register by the federal Office of the Indian Registrar.
