Historical Event: Danish Vikings Driven from Anglo-Saxon Lands
On August 5, 910, the Battle of Tettenhall marked the beginning of the expulsion of Danish Vikings from Anglo-Saxon territories. By 878, Danish Vikings had controlled about half of Anglo-Saxon lands, leading independent Anglo-Saxon states to unite forces.
