Heated Tobacco Product Secondhand Smoke Health Effects Assessment Completed by Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Research Group
It has become known that a research group from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has completed an assessment on the effects of secondhand smoke from "heated tobacco products," which are now used by 40% of smokers. While the use of heated tobacco products increases harmful substances in the air, it has been determined that there is no "strong" association between secondhand smoke and respiratory symptoms or carcinogenicity, among other health effects.
