Portugal to Pay 25% More for Similar Frigates Compared to Italy

Portugal is set to pay over one billion euros for each FREMM frigate, significantly more than the 750 million euros Italy paid in 2024, with the government attributing the higher cost to inflation adjustments until delivery in 2029 and 2030.
