Polish Government Delays Raising Tax Threshold and Tax-Free Amount

The Polish government has confirmed it will not raise the PIT tax threshold above 120,000 PLN nor increase the tax-free amount this year, leading more people to fall into the second tax bracket despite a real decline in purchasing power due to inflation.

Rząd nie podniesie progu podatkowego w PIT ponad 120 tys. zł i na razie nie zwiększy kwoty wolnej od podatku. Z tego powodu coraz więcej osób wraz ze wzrostem pensji wpada w drugi próg podatkowy, choć realna siła nabywcza wynagrodzeń spadła przez inflację.
