Shogakukan Editorial Department: "Problematic to employ manga artist who received summary order" - Work distribution suspended
The editorial department of a manga app operated by Shogakukan announced that it has suspended the distribution of a work, stating, "There were problems with the decision to employ and the verification system," regarding the employment of a manga artist who had previously received a summary order for a fine for violating the Child Pornography Prohibition Law, and was later employed as the original creator of a manga under a different name. They added, "We sincerely apologize to those who have been affected."
