'Architecture, city design a frontline of defense' against heatwaves, expert says

She says that "ultimately architecture and city design is becoming more of a public health infrastructure frontline of defense in this warming world". The record-breaking heatwave in Europe has caused more than 1,300 excess deaths, according to the WHO.
