This coming Tuesday, the government's citizenship bill will be examined by a parliamentary committee which will then take a position on the reforms. Meanwhile, a grassroots organisation calling for transition rules for people with citizenship applications already in the queue is running a letter-writing campaign targeting MPs — among them Liberal Party politicians — to try and sway them to vote against their own bill.
