Iceland Lacks Evaluation of Youth Treatment Center Effectiveness

There has been no systematic evaluation of the effectiveness of treatments at residential treatment centers for children and adolescents in Iceland, prompting a call for the Directorate for Children and Families (BOFS) to establish such an assessment to improve service quality.

Ekki hefur farið fram markvisst mat á árangri meðferða á meðferðarheimilum fyrir börn og unglinga hér á landi. Nauðsynlegt er að Barna- og fjölskyldustofa (BOFS) komi upp slíku mati til að stuðla að umbótum í meðferðarstarfi og auka gæði þjónustunnar.
