Bear on the grounds of Hanamaki Airport, runway closed
According to the Hanamaki Airport Office in Iwate Prefecture, a bear entered the airport grounds around 5:30 PM on the 15th, causing the runway to be closed. Footage from an NHK camera installed at the airport shows a black animal, believed to be a bear, walking around the runway shortly after 6 PM.
