Lost 7th-Century Old English Poem Discovered in Rome

Dublin scientists have found a 1200-year-old manuscript of Caedmon's Hymn, a 7th-century poem by a Northumbrian shepherd, in a Roman library. The copy of the poem was long considered lost and is the oldest preserved poem in the English language.
