Liberec Zoo to End 70-Year Elephant Tradition as Last Elephant Departs
The Liberec Zoo will see its last elephant, 42-year-old Bala, depart after 13 years, ending a 70-year tradition of elephant keeping at the facility, partly due to the unsuitable condition of the pavilion.
