Marseille's 2026 Wild Carnival Partially Banned
The 27th edition of Marseille's 'wild carnival' (carnaval sauvage de la Plaine), an undeclared and independent event, will proceed partially banned by the police prefecture this Sunday, following last year's festivities which gathered up to 13,000 people and led to damages.
