Hong Kong duo plead guilty to secession over pro-independence group, remanded for sentencing

Two Hong Kong men, Chan Tai-sum and Ng Chi-tung, have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit secession under the national security law for joining a Taiwan-based pro-independence group. They admitted to joining out of curiosity or to seek asylum in Canada and have been remanded for sentencing.
