Lithuanian Study Reveals Unexpected Cholesterol Levels in Children

A study conducted at Santaros Clinics in Lithuania found surprising cholesterol levels in over 100 children, with nearly a third having elevated cholesterol, even among those who were not obese and were physically active.

Padidėjęs cholesterolis laikomas suaugusių žmonių problema, tačiau lygiai taip pat jis gali būti padidėjęs ir vaikams, net jei jie nenutukę ir yra fiziškai aktyvūs. Santaros klinikose ištyrus daugiau nei 100 vaikų paaiškėjo, kad net trečdaliui cholesterolis padidėjęs, todėl net ir mažiems vaikams reikia patikrinti šį rodiklį.
