Mediterranean Sea Temperatures Rise Over 5°C Above Average Due to Heatwaves
Intense heatwaves in Western and Central Europe in late June have caused surface water temperatures in the Adriatic and across the Mediterranean to be more than 5°C warmer than the seasonal average, according to Copernicus marine service data.
